About Dr. Waggenspack

Dr. Wame Waggenspack is a board-certified Elbow and Shoulder Specialist at BROC’s Bluebonnet and Livingston Campuses.

Dr. Waggenspack earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana State University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He then specialized in shoulder and elbow surgery, completing a Fellowship at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston under the mentorship of world-renowned surgeons Dr. Gary Gartsman and Dr. Brad Edwards. Dr. Waggenspack has a special interest in complex shoulder injury/trauma, shoulder replacement and reconstruction, instability, and rotator cuff tears as well as sports injuries to the shoulder and elbow. He is the Team Physician for Catholic High School, St. Joseph’s Academy, Baton Rouge Community College, and Louisiana State University. Dr. Waggenspack is dedicated to helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
