About Dr. Bankston

Dr. Larry “Chip” Bankston is a board-certified Elbow, Knee, Shoulder, and Sports Medicine Specialist at BROC’s Livingston and Bluebonnet Campuses.

Dr. Larry “Chip” Bankston earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology, Cum Laude, at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at Louisiana State University HSC School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bankston is the team physician for both Denham Springs High school and Live Oak High School. Following his time as Head Team Physician for the New Orleans Saints, he began serving as Team Physician for LSU Athletics. He is also passionate about sports medicine, particularly in the areas of knee reconstruction, shoulder and elbow injuries, and enjoys contributing to research and education in orthopedic surgery. With a commitment to providing personalized care, Dr. Bankston employs the latest advancements in orthopedic medicine to diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
