About Dr. Mazoch

Dr. Mathew Mazoch is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine serving patient’s at BROC’s Hennessy Campus in Baton Rouge, LA.

A Baton Rouge native, he graduated Valedictorian from Catholic High School and earned his undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude from LSU with numerous awards and honors. He then graduated at the top of his class from LSU School of Medicine, earning Honors in all clinical rotations and serving as president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. Dr. Mazoch completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, scoring above the 98th percentile nationally on all in-training and Board exams. He then completed fellowship training at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center and Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine, training with internationally renowned experts in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Mazoch has authored ten peer-reviewed research publications and has presented at both national and international conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
