About Dr. Ahmad

Dr. Rick Ahmad is a board-certified Elbow, Hand & Wrist, & TMR/Amputation Specialist serving patients at BROC’s Bluebonnet Campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dr. Rick Ahmad earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and his Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center, followed by a hand surgery fellowship at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis. Drawn to Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic (BROC) for its vibrant community of physicians and college town atmosphere, Dr. Ahmad has been practicing in Baton Rouge since 2003. He is the Team Physician for the LSU Women’s Basketball team and is passionate about solving complex problems for his patients. Dr. Ahmad is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center.
