About Dr. McDaniel

Dr. Steve McDaniel is a board-certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist serving patients at BROC’s Baton Rouge General Campus.

Dr. McDaniel earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University. He then obtained his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Following this, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans and pursued a fellowship in pain medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. A New Orleans native, Dr. McDaniel founded Baton Rouge Pain Management before joining Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic, where his focus is to minimize pain through a multi-modal approach and offer alternatives to opioid medication. Compassionate and patient-centered, he takes the time to understand each individual’s unique needs and collaborates with them to create effective treatment plans.
